How Does Mesotherapy Work? Dissolving the fat and connective tissue Cellulite is caused by tight fibrous bands (connective tissue) that hold down and trap the fat causing and "orange peel" effect on the surface of the skin. The medications that are used in mesotherapy melt the fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells in the fascia layer. As the fat is dissolved, it is carried through the blood streamand excreted by the body, the same process that occurs during traditional weight loss. Cellulite is caused by tight fibrous bands (connective tissue) that hold down and trap the fat causing and "orange peel" effect on the surface of the skin. The mesotherapy solution destroys these bands allowing the trapped fat to be melted creating a smooth, "dimple free" appearance. |
